This massage is gentle and encourages the formation of new lympho-venous anastomoses, with relaxing and analgesic effects.
MLD uses specific movements: stationary circles, pump technique, scoop and rotary movements. It is indicated for lymphedema, phleboedema, lipoedema, post-traumatic/post-operative edema, arthropathy, rheumatic conditions, CRPS and scars. The absolute contraindication for performing MLD is malignancy.
